Compensation: $41/hr
Availability: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. This role is set to start off as a 1-year contract and be reevaluated then based on business needs.
As a Corporate Paralegal, you'll provide comprehensive legal and administrative support across a wide range of business and legal functions. You'll work closely with in-house counsel, business leaders, and outside legal partners to manage commercial transactions, support corporate governance activities, and improve legal processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, edit, and assemble contracts, agreements, and other legal documents under the attorney's supervision.
- Support the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, including routing, execution, tracking, and maintaining organized records within document management systems.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate contract reviews and communicate project status.
- Assist with improving legal workflows, templates, playbooks, and operational processes to increase efficiency.
- Manage legal billing, invoices, budget tracking, and assist with legal technology initiatives.
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, and logistics for legal projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming legal requests by gathering documentation and coordinating next steps.
- Maintain intellectual property records, review patent correspondence, and monitor critical filing deadlines.
- Conduct legal research and assist with preparing and filing documents with regulatory and government agencies.
- Support special projects and provide additional legal assistance as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or a Paralegal degree or certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- Three or more years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Experience supporting commercial contracts, transactional legal work, or corporate governance activities is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent proofreading, grammar, and document editing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel), Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.
- Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive legal matters.
- Comfortable learning new technology, legal systems, and evolving business processes.
