Medical Director (EMT) at Camp Stomping Ground

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced EMT to serve as our Medical Director for Summer 2026. This on-site role is essential for maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of all campers and staff. You will oversee the camp’s medical operations, serve as the primary emergency responder, and collaborate with our nursing team.

Camp Stomping Ground is a residential summer camp located 15 minutes west of Saratoga Springs, NY, offering four two-week sessions for campers in 2026. This role requires on site living for the duration of the summer, with wide flexibility for breaks.

Camp Stomping Ground was founded in 2015 with the mission to bring kids from different backgrounds together to engage in authentic play. What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all medical operations at camp and ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations.
• Provide emergency care and advanced first aid as needed.
• Supervise and collaborate with the Camp Nurse(s) and other medical staff.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation for campers and staff.
• Coordinate with local hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals in case of emergencies.
• Be on-call overnight as needed to ensure camper and staff safety.

Who You Are:

• Licensed EMT (required) with experience in pediatric or camp settings preferred.
• Calm under pressure, organized, and able to respond to emergencies quickly.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Passionate about working with kids and supporting their growth and development.
