Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced EMT to serve as our Medical Director for Summer 2026. This on-site role is essential for maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of all campers and staff. You will oversee the camp’s medical operations, serve as the primary emergency responder, and collaborate with our nursing team.
Camp Stomping Ground is a residential summer camp located 15 minutes west of Saratoga Springs, NY, offering four two-week sessions for campers in 2026. This role requires on site living for the duration of the summer, with wide flexibility for breaks.

What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all medical operations at camp and ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations.
- Provide emergency care and advanced first aid as needed.
- Supervise and collaborate with the Camp Nurse(s) and other medical staff.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation for campers and staff.
- Coordinate with local hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals in case of emergencies.
- Be on-call overnight as needed to ensure camper and staff safety.
Who You Are:
- Licensed EMT (required) with experience in pediatric or camp settings preferred.
- Calm under pressure, organized, and able to respond to emergencies quickly.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Passionate about working with kids and supporting their growth and development.
