Duties
- Provide one-on-one support to children with special needs or individual learning goals throughout daily camp activities
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies to ensure a positive environment for all campers
- Implement tailored activities that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and social skills
- Ensure safety by monitoring children during outdoor play, arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater activities, and rest periods
- Support campers with personal care routines such as toileting, feeding, or mobility assistance as needed
- Maintain clear communication with camp staff and parents regarding each child's progress and needs
- Apply first aid when necessary and follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for everyone
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or special education is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with children, parents, and staff
- Ability to work actively outdoors and indoors for extended periods in a lively camp environment
- Passion for working with children and fostering their growth through engaging activities.
Pay: $450.00 - $500.00 per week
