Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching and fun-filled camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers throughout their time at camp. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers during various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and nature exploration.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive camp environment.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure that all health protocols are followed.
- Foster relationships with campers by being approachable, supportive, and attentive to their needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere that promotes teamwork and camaraderie.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experiences:
- Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with first aid practices is beneficial. We can certify you in First aid and CPR.
- Background in babysitting or child care is advantageous.
- Experience in behavior management techniques to support diverse camper needs.
- Skills in sports coaching or leading physical activities are a plus.
