Job Summary:
LCI Services, a growing service company, is seeking a full-time Accountant with experience in the maintenance and service environment. Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, general ledger reconciliations and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Emphasis will be on Inventory, Warranty, Customer Billing and Collections
- Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations
- Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures
- Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis for management reporting
- Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3-5 years of experience
- Must have QuickBooks experience
- Ability to take the lead on all aspects of accounting
- Strong attention to detail
- Skillful in analytical, quantitative, and social skills
- High level of professionalism and the ability to work with a diverse team
- Proficiency with Windows and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
- Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.
