Qualifications
- Education - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience - Minimum of two (2) years in school transportation operations.
- Specialized Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of Missouri State Laws for School Bus Drivers and Federal Commercial Drivers Licensing (CDL) regulations.
- Familiarity with the Camdenton R-III School District geography and community.
- Technical Skills - Proficiency in transportation routing software (TransAct preferred) and standard office suites.

Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Dispatch Operations
- Routing & Scheduling: Manage and update TransAct routing software; prepare route descriptions and bus line-up materials prior to the academic year.
- Fleet Coordination: Organize, maintain, and dispatch daily shuttles; oversee non-bus vehicle requests and maintain accurate usage records.
- Personnel Allocation: Assign substitute drivers for the After School Program, shuttle drivers, and special requests.
- Seasonal Support: Assist the Director in planning and executing summer school transportation logistics.
- Driver Credentialing: Monitor and maintain annual driver physicals and "Safety Meeting" training logs to ensure 100% compliance.
- Data Integrity: Update student rosters daily; manage bi-annual student count rosters (October and February) and summarize data for the Annual Secretary of the Board Report (ASBR).
- Policy Oversight: Distribute driver handbooks and safety packets; promptly inform the Director of any local, state, or federal policy violations.
- Conflict Resolution: Act as a liaison between parents, administrators, and drivers to resolve student disciplinary issues.
- Safety Monitoring: Review bus camera footage to monitor behavior and provide safety recommendations to the Transportation Director.
- Departmental Support: Manage departmental correspondence, forms, and front-line communications with professionalism and discretion.
Terms Of Employment
- Terms of Employment: 250 days; 8.0 hrs / day. Does not include a 30 minute lunch.
- Pay Range: $16.75 - $17.05
- Perform other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate by the board of education.
- Start Date: July 1, 2026; An additional two weeks in-person training prior to the start date at the Transportation Director's request.
