Qualifications
- Must meet MSHSAA Coaching Requirements 3.1.5.
- Coaching experience at the middle school, high school, or club level preferred.
- Ability to be employed as a Middle School teacher or support staff position preferred.

Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing daily practices, training sessions, and match strategies.
- Teach fundamental skills, strategy, and teamwork in a positive and encouraging environment.
- Direct, mentor, and motivate players during practices and games.
- Develop and implement a program that emphasizes player growth, discipline, work ethics, academics and sportsmanship.
- Monitor student-athletes during practices, tournaments, and travel.
- Collaborate and assist with out-of- season conditioning including the MSHSAA designated preseason practice period, summer contact days, offseason, and weight room oversight.
- Ensure the physical safety of all student-athletes, including adhering to medical protocols, safety procedures, and ensuring required paperwork is completed.
- Manage equipment, uniforms, and setup/teardown of practice facilities.
- Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
- Maintain open, professional communication with athletes, parents, school administration, and athletic directors.
- Knowledge and understanding of the MSHSAA by-laws.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Middle School Athletic Director, or Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate wrestling techniques.
- Able to lift and move heavy items (e.g., mats, equipment) up to 50 lbs.
- Extended time standing or moving on a wrestling mat.
- Extra Duties Pay Scale
- Teaching position contingent on availability and appropriate DESE certification.
