Job Summary

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, service-minded professional to join our Accounting Department. In this role, you’ll serve as a key connection point between Accounting and both internal and external partners. You’ll support loan administration, maintain accurate financial records, and provide thoughtful guidance on accounting-related questions—all while helping ensure a smooth, positive experience for stakeholders across the organization. Key Deliverables And Responsibilities

  • Lead loan administration activities, including disbursements, maintaining loan schedules, and supporting collection efforts for loans in default
  • Partner closely with the Business Development team to calculate internal and external recruiter bonus payments and communicate details to appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted accounting resource for internal and external customers, providing guidance on accounting policies and processes to support a positive, solutions-oriented experience
  • Maintain and update accounting database systems (including Workday), ensuring accuracy of daily transactions, schedules, and general ledger entries
  • Facilitate the quarterly note review process by gathering required documentation, coordinating communication, organizing materials, and administering review meetings
  • Perform calculating, posting, reconciling, and verification activities to ensure accurate financial data and accounting records
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with care, maintaining the security of financial data and files
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within accounting and finance operations

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is comfortable handling confidential and sensitive financial information and is naturally curious, eager to learn more about the finance industry, and motivated to continuously improve processes and efficiencies. This individual is highly detail-oriented, organized, and dependable, with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Familiarity with Workday or similar financial or accounting systems is preferred, along with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, calculations, and reconciliations. Certifications

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 or Series 99 license is preferred.

Salary Range

$55,000-80,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the company’s operational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, education, performance, internal equity, and geographic location.

Work Environments

This role offers a hybrid schedule, requiring three days weekly in the office. Applicants should be located near one of our hubs (Fairfield, IA or Phoenix, AZ) and must be willing to work this schedule. Cambridge is not considering remote candidates at this time.
