This role is ideal for an experienced CSFA with strong expertise in Orthopedic, General Surgery, Neuro, Vascular, Gynecology, Urology, and Da Vinci Robotic Surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as the first assistant during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Provide expert intraoperative assistance including tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields using aseptic technique.
- Assist with orthopedic, neuro, vascular, general surgery, gynecology, urology, and robotic procedures.
- Operate and assist with Da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems.
- Ensure proper instrument handling, patient safety, and compliance with surgical protocols.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) experience.
- Current NBSTSA Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) Certification (Required).
- Current BLS Certification (Required).
- Previous travel experience required.
- Strong recent experience in:
- Orthopedic Surgery
- General Surgery
- Neurosurgery
- Vascular Surgery
- Gynecology
- Urology
- Da Vinci Robotic Surgery
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the job location.
- Travel candidates only.
Schedule Details
- 13-Week Travel Contract
- Day Shift | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 4x10-Hour Schedule
- 40 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
- On-Call Required
- No Floating Required
