- Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Start Date: August 3, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours/week
Requirements
- Active RN License (North Carolina or Compact License)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Unit RN experience (Required)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certifications (Required)
- Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Travel experience preferred but not required
- Comfortable managing a 1:6 patient ratio
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including post-operative and trauma patients.
- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound vacs, and surgical drains.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and patient safety standards.
- Float to comparable units as needed to support patient care.
- Participate in emergency response and disaster staffing when required.
Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,050.00 per week
