Location: Miami, FL
Unit: Emergency Care Center A
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a high-acuity, fast-paced Level I Trauma Center. This position requires strong emergency nursing skills, prior travel experience, and experience working in a Level I Trauma facility.
The Emergency Department includes:
- 121 Adult ER Beds
- 60 General Exam Rooms
- 4 Resuscitation Rooms
- 6 Triage Rooms
- 12 Fast-Track Rooms
- 30 Pediatric ER Beds
- 50 Observation Rooms
- 7 Acute Care Rooms
- Onsite MRI, CT, X-Ray, and Ultrasound
- Onsite Pharmacy
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to high-acuity patients
- Perform rapid patient assessments and interventions
- Manage trauma, critical care, and emergency cases
- Complete admission work for boarded patients when required
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
- Float within Jackson Health System as needed
Requirements
Required:
- Active Florida RN License or Compact RN License
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
- Previous Travel Nursing Experience
- Previous Level I Trauma Center Experience
- Cerner EMR Experience
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- CPI Certification
- AVADE Training or MAB Certification with hands-on de-escalation validation
- Ability to pass EKG Exam during Orientation
Schedule Details
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed
- Every Other Weekend
- Holiday Coverage as Needed
Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,300.00 per week
