MRI Technologist (Travel Contract)
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days (Monday–Friday)
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Weekend Requirement: None (Holiday coverage may be required)
On-Call: Possible call rotation
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading teaching hospital in Western Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative imaging department with modern MRI technology and a supportive team environment. Travelers will always work alongside another MRI Technologist or Tech Aide and will never be scheduled to work alone.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Operate GE MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during MRI procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to provide excellent patient care.
- Follow all MRI safety standards and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in on-call and holiday coverage as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current MRI experience
- ARRT (MR) Certification required
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required
- Experience with GE MRI equipment required
- Meditech Expanse experience preferred
- Must be willing to take call when needed
- Must be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays if required
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Pay: $75.00 - $82.00 per hour
