Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, this position is responsible for performing journal entries, reconciliations, supporting month-end close processes, and assisting in financial analysis and reporting activities. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, is highly organized, and demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and proper documentation.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including supporting schedules and variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and organize accounting records in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing requested documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data integrity.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the finance department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with accounting software; Microsoft D365 experience is required.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
