What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook I , Part time position at Callaway Gardens?
- report to work at the scheduled time and in the proper clean uniform.
- Responsible for preparation of food including the prep of raw meats, bread, cooked vegetables, soups, and desserts.
- Responsible for assisting the Lead Cook in maintaining proper level of cleanliness and order in the kitchen area as agreed upon by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
- Responsible for using and storing cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.
- Responsible for the setup and breakdown of the hot and cold food lines, and proper storage of the food as delegated by Health Department standards.
- Required to grill, fry, sauté, steam, and bake meats, fish, vegetables, and eggs.
- Responsible for the preparation of ticketed orders in a timely manner that does not sacrifice quality and presentation of plated dishes.
- Assisting Lead Cook and Cook II in daily tasks.
- Ensures all stored food products both prepared and raw are wrapped, labeled, dated, and maintains the proper temperatures as established by the Health Department.
- Completing any tasks assigned by supervisor
