Job Description and Duties

This is a continuance of a previously posted advertisement. Previous applicants remain under consideration and do not need to reapply.

Permanent Intermittent employees are not allowed to work more than 1500 hours in a calendar year. Hours vary, depending upon accommodated employee needs. The anticipated time worked will be 28 hours per week. The employee will receive an hourly compensation based on the number of hours worked.

This position is located in the city of Antioch.

Multiple vacancies may exist.

Under the general supervision/direction of the Supervisor I, Team Manager, and the guidance of the designated employee, the Support Services Assistant (General) (SSA-G) provides reasonable accommodation services for otherwise qualified state employee, by facilitating travel, visual, and written communication. SSA-G must follow written and oral instructions, be courteous, tactful, and work cooperatively with others. SSA-G must be a safe and courteous driver. SSA-G must make accurate observations of clients and environment, at the direction of counselor.

Working Conditions

The majority of the work will take place in one of the following locations with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders: a DOR open office setting in a cubicle environment, offsite in the community, at events and various partner locations, and/or at an approved alternate work location. The incumbent must have the ability to work in an office setting for up to 40 hours per week and remain at a workstation for extended periods while utilizing a personal computer, peripherals, and other office equipment with or without accommodation. The incumbent will be working in an office setting with both natural and artificial lighting. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
