ContinuumRx, the nation’s leading specialty and home infusion therapy expert, is seeking Registered Nurses to add to our Columbus, OH Team to provide care for our patients in the patient's home and/or in the infusion suite. Registered Nurses working in our Ambulatory Infusion Suites work directly with patients and perform intake, vitals, infusion and injections, documenting in the Electronic Health Record.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Registered Nurses working in our Ambulatory Infusion Suites/Centers work directly with patients and perform intake, vitals, infusion, and injections, documenting in the Electronic Health Record.
- Assess and document the health status of the patient Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation and health history
- Prepare patients for infusion or injection.
- Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines
- Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record
- Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use
- Demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
- Reinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects
- Work collaboratively with clinical and front desk staff to ensure highest level of patient care Assist with audits and regulatory function
- Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care Work at multiple facilities within the market as needed
Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent IV Skills
- Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Proficiency with standard office software applications - Outlook, Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records, internet and mobile applications
- Demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff
- Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional active listening skills
- Experience in an infusion setting preferred
- Current, active and in good standing registered nurse license in the state of employment
- A friendly personality with good people skills including team collaboration
- Current BLS CPR certification
