We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Scribe to support our orthopedic providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real time. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.

Work is performed in a clinic and office setting. Ability to accurately type, write, and use general office equipment is necessary. Extensive telephone communication is required.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Scribe to support our orthopedic providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real time. Essential Functions – Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Accompany providers during patient visits and document medical histories, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Accurately transcribe providerpatient interactions in real time
- Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with clinic standards
- Assist with chart preparation by reviewing prior notes, imaging, and test results
- Enter orders for labs, imaging, and referrals as directed by the provider
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Adapt quickly to different providers’ workflows and documentation preferences
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 years as a medical assistant or related experience
- Experience with scheduling appointments
- Proficient in computers using MS Office applications and with EHR (preferably Epic)
- Strong knowledge of clinical/medical practice operations, procedures, terminology, and administration
- Ability to collaborate across departments and build effective relationships with internal and external clients to achieve
- Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills; including excellent interpersonal skills and telephone communication.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on allocated assignments.
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Handles confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
