EXECUTIVE SECRETARY I
$4,345.00 - $5,441.00 per Month

Job Description and Duties
Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Assistant Lieutenant, the Executive Secretary I answers the telephone and screen/direct calls for the Chief (Division Commander), three Assistant Chiefs, Special Services Captain, and the Administrative Assistant Lieutenant. Escalates calls through the chain of command or routes to the appropriate Unit. Performs difficult clerical work in support of the Division management team to include reviewing, prioritizing, and routing in-coming and out-going correspondence; answers the telephone and deals tactfully with the public and allied agencies; receives and prepares correspondence independently utilizing a wide knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and spelling; prepares, submits, and files uniformed hiring packages; creates Comm-Nets for job postings and miscellaneous events; creates and submits Project Tracking Logs for memorandums to be sent to headquarters; receives documents that require chief approval; general filing in personnel files, and routes copies or originals back to commander, Area, and/or Human Resources Section.
