Job Description And Duties
Under the general direction of a Budget Officer (Manager II), the Supervisor II leads the day-to-day management of a wide variety of complex analytical and technical processes necessary to prepare and manage the Department's Budget Plan. The Fiscal Control Officer will supervise a team of subordinate managers and analysts in the development and submission of the Department’s annual technical budget drills, and provide staff training, guidance and support in the analysis, preparation and ongoing maintenance of the Department's budget, including unique Special Fund resource allocations. Additionally, the Fiscal Control Officer will oversee technical analyses and the development of recommendations for Executive leadership regarding ad-hoc fiscal assignments and ongoing fiscal monitoring drills.
The Fiscal Control Officer performs administrative duties such as recruit, interview, and hire staff to fill vacancies, completes performance appraisals and probationary reports. The Fiscal Control Officer will also be responsible to take action as necessary to initiate disciplinary proceedings and adverse actions and perform other administrative and supervisory duties as required.
