Job Description And Duties

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (hybrid telework opportunities available)

The Labor Commissioner’s Office is looking for an analyst to work in our Business Operations section. The ideal analyst will facilitate a variety of business needs, including review requisitions of purchase orders and contracts to verify compliance, as well as ensure there is adequate procurement of goods and services. The incumbent will also work closely with division managers and department liaisons on space and equipment acquisition and other such needs.

Working Conditions

This recruitment is being conducted to fill two vacancies, which may be filled at any of the following locations listed below:

320 4th St, Ste 450, Los Angeles, CA

1515 Clay St., Ste 801, Oakland, CA

2031 Howe Ave, Ste 110, Sacramento, CA

Duties are primarilly performed in a climate-controlled office setting possibly in a high-rise building; cubicle or shared workspace under artificial light, utilizing computer screens and other office equipment; may drive a state vehicle for field work, trainings and other related work. While in the field, exposure to dirt, odors, noise, fumes, uneven surfaces, stairs, high-rise buildings, extreme weather conditions, and fast moving equipment may occur. The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer as necessary for email communication, research, and other purposes.
