About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment and systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and control systems to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and maintain equipment to the highest standards. Your proficiency in predictive maintenance technologies and commitment to continuous improvement will be critical to our success.
Responsibilities- Perform expert-level troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies such as infrared thermography and vibration analysis to assess equipment condition and proactively address potential issues.
- Program, troubleshoot, and analyze complex control systems to resolve software, hardware, and configuration problems, optimizing system performance.
- Identify and source necessary parts, supplies, and repair items, suggesting alternative solutions to enhance equipment reliability.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities, driving process enhancements and cost savings through the application of CI tools and methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records, review CMMS history, and analyze data to identify trends and improve maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Provide training and coaching to less experienced technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Required Skills
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 7 years of related experience in a specific industry; or, 10 years of experience in a specific industry.
- Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems, with the ability to analyze problems, synthesize solutions, and perform repairs.
- Experience with hand tools and specialized tools.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in predictive technologies including vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations, precision alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment.
- Six Sigma experience.
- Experience with CNC Machine Repair.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Allen Bradley, Omron, or Siemens.
