About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation of our production equipment and facilities. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in troubleshooting and repair to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Your proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems will be essential to maintaining our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, utilizing schematics and testing equipment to ensure efficient repairs.
- Execute repairs on equipment, fixtures, and systems, maintaining operational standards throughout the facility.
- Maintain and optimize industrial control systems to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Document all repair activities, parts usage, and materials, ensuring accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
- Propose effective solutions to complex and recurring equipment problems, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with machine operators, supervisors, and other maintenance staff to address and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as needed to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
Required Skills
- Four years of experience in a maintenance environment, demonstrating a strong foundation in equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and resolve issues across various departments, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Competent in using shop equipment, including hydraulic and mechanical presses, grinders, drill presses, and various power tools.
- Skilled in using precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
Preferred Skills
- Six years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment, showcasing advanced skills in equipment maintenance.
- Experience with technologies such as variable frequency drives (VFD), servo drives, and servo motors.
- Knowledge of rotary equipment, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing.
- Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
- Proficiency in fabrication capabilities, including cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
- Associate’s Degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation, or a related field.
