Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Role Summary

Our team is looking for a skilled commercial Journeyman Electrician to join us. You will be tasked with managing various high-density commercial fitout projects located within a healthcare environment, where your primary duties will involve installing conduit, wiring complex medical zones, and verifying that all installations meet rigorous commercial and medical electrical standards.

Core Duties

• Interpret electrical blueprints to accurately implement layouts for a variety of medical offices and clinical spaces.
• Demonstrate efficiency in bending and installing EMT, IMC, and rigid conduit systems across the site.
• Manage the installation of feeder and branch circuit wiring to support robust commercial power distribution.
• Facilitate the connection of specialized medical machinery, lighting control systems, and emergency backup power.
• Uphold strict compliance with NEC requirements and specialized healthcare facility regulations to ensure system integrity.
• Promote a secure workplace by consistently following OSHA guidelines and site-specific hospital safety procedures.

Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated background as a commercial electrician.
• At least 4 to 5 years of professional experience in the commercial electrical field.
• A solid track record of successfully completing large-scale commercial tenant improvements or fitouts.
• Advanced technical abilities in conduit bending, circuit diagnostics, and interpreting complex blueprints.
• Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and lifting weights up to 50 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

• Background in clinical, hospital, or medical office building environments.
• Knowledge of specialized wiring techniques for healthcare, such as isolated ground circuits and MC-AP cabling.
