Summary
The Data Architect role will support software development teams with technical guidance while contributing to the design and implementation of data solutions. The responsibilities include collaborating with the data team, gathering requirements, and defining data models. The Data Architect will also assist in assessing databases for areas of improvement and provide input on technical feasibility, data reviews, and solutions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience/training. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in information technology, with 3 years of experience in technical environments, including data solutions and enterprise data models.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Model.
- Assisting in assessing the current data architecture and working with technical staff to recommend improvements.
- Collaborating with development teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Researching and staying updated on emerging technologies to propose solutions.
- Assisting in communicating technical challenges and solutions to stakeholders.
- Assessing business impacts of data-related technical decisions.
- Providing updates to stakeholders on data-related product development processes.
- Assisting in the documentation that supports data development efforts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on data initiatives.
- Offering technical prototyping support when needed.
- 5 years of experience in data architecture or related technical environments, with a focus on data models and data solutions.
- 2 years of experience in enterprise data design.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, and standard Microsoft development environments is required.
- Familiarity with application technologies, including financial systems, ERP, and integration technologies such as APIs and event hubs.
- Experience with data lineage, data warehousing, and reporting is highly preferred.
- Ability to map business processes and define data architecture with appropriate technologies, automation, and integration.
- Familiarity with SDLC and common development practices.
- Nice to have: Exposure to software development, programming experience, and/or experience utilizing Databricks
