Position: Shipping Specialist
Location: Equipment & Assembly Plant – Pittsburgh, PA

The Shipping Specialist works with the Materials Management Supervisor and Product Group Supervisor, service equipment planner, sales force, project management and other departments to ensure all equipment and sales orders are processed fully. The Shipping Specialist includes inter-company transfers, SAP transactions, transportation arrangement, including export shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Ensuring all service equipment and sales orders, both large and small are shipped properly using SAP and internal and external communications
- Works directly with production group supervisor and service equipment planner to ensure product availability and product quality compliance
- Arrangement of the transportation of equipment and parts both domestically and export
- Developing new cost-effective sources of equipment transportation
- Solves transportation problems
- Producing sales orders and coordinating the shipping of parts
- Manages all fixed assets in production side of SAP
- Works with accounting to assign new FA#, abandonment of assets, responsible for cycle counts and audit support
- Resolves any FA issues for customer capital
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
- Associates degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
- Driver’s License is required
- 0-2 years SAP experience is required
- 2-3 years Transportation experience is required
- Transportation of Large Equipment is preferred
