Position: Painter I
Location: Bloomfield Plant – Bloomfield, NM

The Painter I inspects interior and exterior lining and coating systems on purchased and produced equipment. The Painter I utilizes conventional spray, airless spray and hand painting equipment in the application of exterior paint/coating systems to all types of equipment, systems and products produced by Calgon Carbon. The Painter I utilizes conventional spray, airless spray in the application of interior tank coatings such as vinyl ester and epoxy-based materials, Plastite 4110, Ceilcote 242, epoxy mastic, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Apply spray to interior tank linings
- Inspect coatings upon completion of work
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- A one-year certificate from college or technical school is preferred (Paint spraying or coatings engineering)
- 0-2 years of blasting or painter’s helper experience is required
- Industrial spraying experience is preferred
