Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team at our Greensburg/Youngwood distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. This role requires proficiency in warehouse management systems and a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
Duties
- Oversee the verification and record-keeping of all incoming and outgoing shipments with precision and accuracy.
- Expertly assemble and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring timely delivery to our valued customers.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming shipments, promptly identifying and resolving any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain meticulous inventory records, optimizing stock levels and minimizing shortages.
- Take charge of organizing the warehouse and work area, maximizing efficiency and maintaining a safe working environment.
Experience/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required, with a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in shipping/receiving roles.
- Proven ability to write clear reports and correspondence, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, including proficiency in computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Bilingual proficiency is advantageous but not required.
