Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday.
We are looking for friendly, energetic, and highly motivated individuals who chase the mountain life style and are passionate about providing exceptional service to join our team at Shin Shin Sushi Restaurant .
Shin Shin is part of Caldera House located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village. Caldera House offers eight luxury suites and Alpine club memberships, which gain access to our state of the art locker room, valet parking and concierge services, high-end spa facilities, and a plush apres-ski lounge. In addition, Caldera House includes Southcable Cafe, Corsa restaurant, Shin Shin restaurant, and two sports shops for all visitors of the resort to enjoy.
The server/bartender is responsible for all aspects of dinner service at Shin Shin
Essential Job Functions:
- Welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner and guide them through any specials, take orders, remedy any problems
- Complete tasks related to the set up of the restaurant
- Anticipate guests needs and respond to any requests
- Assist and serve all guests in a timely manner
- Complete transactions, maintain a personal bank and cash out at the end of each shift
- Share knowledge about the menu items including wine and spirits
- Serve drinks (prebatched cocktails), beer and perform wine service
- Set and bus tables as needed
- Work as a team to assist any team members
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 2 years of serving experience required (in a high volume upscale restaurant preferred)
- Sushi knowledge required
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and through the entire Winter season
- Must be able to stand, walk, and carry heavy plates, and move around through the entirety of the shift
- Have a warm and welcoming attitude in all circumstances
- Current TIPS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment is required
- Communicate fluently in English
