Supplier Relations Analyst

Salary Target: $60,000-$65,000 Base Salary
Position Overview:
The Supplier Relations Analyst is responsible for supporting relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the collection, maintenance, and provision of high-quality data. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication and organizational skills, who can effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors. The position will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, availability, consistency, and timeliness of data, supporting the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, acting as a liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors. Manage vendor contracts, performance evaluation, and compliance.
- Data Collection and Maintenance: Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to identify data requirements, including quality standards, formats, and delivery mechanisms. Ensure accurate and timely collection of data from vendors as per the organization's requirements. Continuously monitor data quality and consistency, identifying and rectifying any issues or anomalies. Develop and implement processes to improve data quality and data management practices.
- Data Availability and Timeliness: Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to establish data delivery timelines and ensure adherence. Proactively communicate with vendors to resolve any delays or issues in data availability.
- Implement measures to ensure the timely provision of data to internal teams, meeting the organization's reporting and analytics requirements.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with internal teams, such as IT, analytics, and finance, to define data analysis and reporting needs. Work closely with vendors to provide accurate and comprehensive data for reporting purposes. Analyze data trends and patterns, identifying insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Documentation and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vendor contracts, agreements, and communication. Ensure proper documentation of data collection and management processes. Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines for data collection and management, ensuring standardization and consistency.
- Ensuring the accuracy, availability, and consistency of data provided by manufacturers and suppliers.
- Responsible for developing strong relationships with vendors, managing data collection processes, ensuring data quality, and facilitating timely data provision to support operations and decision-making within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in vendor management or supplier relationship management.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset, able to identify and rectify data issues efficiently.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with supply chain operations and processes is preferred.
