Now Hiring: Service Specialist I – Financial EDI Support

Location: Naperville, IL (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Service Specialist I to support Financial EDI operations for a leading financial services organization. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on EDI experience who enjoys troubleshooting, researching technical issues, and supporting critical payment processes.

This team serves as the first line of defense for production support, investigating file issues, researching inquiries, and ensuring electronic transactions process successfully for U.S. and Canadian customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and investigate Financial EDI file issues and production errors

• Research failed electronic files and determine whether issues require internal resolution or client action

• Perform file traces and analyze data to identify root causes

• Support new client setup within internal systems, including account details, payment types, and configurations

• Maintain documentation and communicate updates to internal stakeholders

• Provide first-level support to internal teams including Client Services, Help Desk, Sales, TPS, and Product Management

• Assist with Excel tracking, reporting, and data entry activities

Required Skills & Experience:

• EDI experience is required

• Banking or financial EDI experience strongly preferred

• Experience working with EDI file formats, troubleshooting, and data investigation

• Knowledge of X12 EDI standards preferred

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex systems quickly

• Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry and tracking

• Experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook for documentation and communication

Role Details:

Hybrid Schedule: 2 days onsite per week (Monday and Tuesday preferred; flexibility available)

Pay Rate: $25/hr
