Auditor IV
Schedule: 40/hours week, hybrid
Pay: $30/hour, paid weekly
Essential duties:
Performs financial reporting and audit reviews on behalf of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and its component units. Primary duties include tracking, monitoring, and conducting follow-up activities as part of the SEFA (Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards) reporting submission and subsequent Statewide Audit processes.
Duties include coordinating with agencies to ensure timely corrective action responses, maintaining documentation of audit resolution activities, and reporting the status of outstanding findings to management.
The position may also assist with preparing responses to inquiries from federal oversight agencies and external auditors regarding statewide audit matters, compliance issues, and corrective action efforts.
Analyze, recap and approve financial transactions to support the financial reporting activities of the Commonwealth in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Coordinates and reviews activities of state agencies and external audit firms to ensure compliance with Federal and state laws, regulations and policies prior to inclusion in the annual financial report of the Commonwealth.
Plans, organizes and directs the compilation of financial data from external audit firms for inclusion in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) of the Commonwealth. Reviews audited financial statements prior to release to the public.
Provides advice to component units and external auditors on appropriate GAAP reporting for governmental entities.
Develops training materials and provides training to state agencies, auditors and component units on complex financial reporting standards.
Participates in eMARS upgrades and other duties as assigned by manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.
