Associate Accountant

Entry-Level Accountant

Houston, TX – Onsite

$30/hour

3-6 Month Contract-to-Hire

Our client is looking for entry-level Accountant’s to support corporate accounting functions in Houston, TX. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates looking to start their accounting careers in a dynamic, global energy company. Successful candidates will start on a contract basis with the goal of converting to full-time employment within 3-6 months, based on performance and business need. As a part of the Elevate program, you will also receive ongoing technical training and professional development support to accelerate your ramp-up and long-term growth within the organization!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and transactional processing
• Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes – must be available for extended hours during this time
• Contribute to internal and external reporting requirements, including S4 support where applicable
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Work collaboratively across accounting teams and with supervisors to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required (Accounting strongly preferred)
• CPA eligible preferred not required (e.g., 150 credit hours, 5th year, or MBA candidates)
• Strong academic record
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in Excel and basic financial systems; knowledge of SAP/S4 is a plus
