What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Facilitator position at Calcasieu Parish School Board?

A valid Louisiana teaching certificate which includes Special Education certification as specified in Bulletin 746, revised Louisiana State Department of Education. A minimum of 5 years successful educational experience in working with students with disabilities who have significant behavior/emotional problems. Primary duty is to provide technical assistance to both general and special education teachers that serve students with autism, assisting in the provision and planning of professional development activities, serving as a liaison between home and school, monitoring IEP compliance, providing academic and behavior support to classroom teachers, demonstrating model lessons, communicating with school administrators and ensuring that IEP accommodations are provided in assigned schools. Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with school stakeholders, state and federal agencies and the general public.
