We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements while providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times effectively.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar Point of Sale systems is a plus.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries professionally.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help create memorable experiences for our guests.
