Program Manager (Business Systems)

Location: Remote
Reports to: VP, Transformation Office (PMO)

About the Role

CAI Software, an STG portfolio company, is a fast-growing, private equity–backed business at the forefront of ERP and process manufacturing solutions. We are seeking a Program Manager (Business Systems) to join our Transformation Office (PMO). This role will serve as the program lead for business systems projects, including ERP, CRM, HR, finance, and marketing technologies, in partnership with IT and functional leaders.

The Program Manager will be the central point of contact for our systems integration partner (e.g., PwC) and internal stakeholders, ensuring critical business applications projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to the company’s integration and transformation goals. While IT is a key partner, this role sits within the centralized PMO to drive cross-functional alignment and execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Own program management for large-scale business systems projects, including ERP (NetSuite), CRM (Salesforce), HRIS, FP&A, and other core applications.
  • Act as the primary liaison between CAI leadership, IT, functional stakeholders, and external systems integration partners.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and RACI across workstreams.
  • Track dependencies across business units and functions, escalating risks and ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Facilitate cutover and go-live readiness planning, including testing, training, and change management activities.
  • Standardize project reporting for business systems initiatives, ensuring visibility for executives and functional leaders.
  • Drive accountability for timelines, budgets, and outcomes across vendor and internal teams.
  • Partner with the CIO and IT leaders on system ownership, while keeping program ownership within the PMO.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4 years of progressive experience in program or project management, ideally within IT, ERP, CRM, or enterprise systems.
  • Strong track record delivering ERP and CRM implementations (NetSuite and Salesforce experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience with broader business systems a plus (HRIS, FP&A/financial planning, marketing automation, expense management, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels, including finance, HR, IT, and commercial leaders.
  • Familiarity with working alongside systems integration partners (PwC, Deloitte, Accenture, or boutique SI firms).
  • Strong financial and business acumen; able to connect system functionality with business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align executives and technical teams.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.

Why Join Us

You’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate and lasting impact as part of a small, high-visibility PMO team. This role is pivotal in shaping how CAI executes its most important systems initiatives, ensuring a successful separation and integration while modernizing our business applications. You’ll work alongside a passionate leadership team, partner closely with IT and functional leaders, and have the support of our private equity sponsors as we deliver outsized value to customers, employees, and investors alike.
