Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guest comfort and satisfaction
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bartenders
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness throughout service
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols to ensure guest safety and compliance with health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation standards, and basic math for accurate billings and transactions
- Serving or host/hostess experience is advantageous but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
- Experience in food industry roles involving bussing, food handling, or kitchen support will be considered an asset
