We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized A/R - Payroll Compliance Assistant to join our Accounting Department. This role is essential in ensuring accurate management of accounts receivable, payroll compliance, and related processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of payroll, accounting, and financial concepts. Responsibilities
- Manage and process accounts receivable transactions with precision and timeliness.
- Assist in payroll management activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Perform account reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Enter data accurately into accounting software.
- Support benefits administration processes related to payroll and employee records.
- Prepare journal entries for payroll and financial transactions using double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Assist with accounting tasks as-needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of payroll transactions and account reconciliations for audit purposes.
- Support week-end closing activities related to payroll and receivables.
- Collaborate with human resources and finance teams to ensure accurate data entry and compliance with internal controls.
Experience
- Experience in payroll management, accounts receivable/payable, or related financial roles.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.
- Experience working with HouseCallPro.
- Knowledge of basic Payroll Compliance is a plus.
- Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail in data entry and account reconciliation tasks.
- Basic proficiency in 10 key typing and bookkeeping principles such as double entry bookkeeping and technical accounting practices. Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
