Parts Counterperson – Retail / Wholesale
Location: GM Chevrolet Dealership
Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counterperson to join our Chevrolet GM Parts Department. This role supports both retail and wholesale customers, providing expert parts knowledge, accurate order fulfillment, and outstanding service. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and experienced with GM parts and dealership operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist retail and wholesale customers at the counter, over the phone, and via email
- Identify, quote, and sell GM/Chevrolet parts and accessories accurately and efficiently
- Utilize the GM EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) and DMS to locate parts and process orders
- Support the service department by pulling, staging, and delivering parts as needed
- Maintain accurate invoices, pricing, and documentation for all transactions
- Handle special orders, returns, and backorders, ensuring timely customer communication
- Work closely with wholesale accounts to ensure fast turnaround and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized parts department and counter area
- Follow all dealership policies and GM guidelines
Qualifications
- Prior automotive parts experience required (GM/Chevy experience strongly preferred)
- Experience working retail and/or wholesale parts counter
- Familiarity with GM EPC and dealership DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift parts as needed

- Knowledge of GM OEM parts and accessories
- Wholesale parts experience and account management
- Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency
