Position is located in Cerritos.
Under the general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator (BTA) III, and with minimal direct supervision, the Tax Technician (TT) III properly documents evidence; conducts evidence inspections; reconciles evidence inventory; maintains control of state equipment; generates correspondence and performs other job-related activities. The incumbent in this position demonstrates extensive knowledge of, and adherence to, department policies, rules, and regulations. Travel may be required for up to five percent (5%) of the time for training purposes.
Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.
Currently, per the California Budget Act of 2025, all California Department of Tax and Fee Administration salaries are subject to the provisions of the State of California’s Personal Leave Program.

Position requires employee to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a background investigation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee at times works in hot/cold weather conditions both indoors and/or outdoors.

Operate materials handling equipment such as a pallet jack and/or forklift.
Withstand possible impairment and/or contamination from cannabis products or odor.

Salary : $50,952 - $63,828
