As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT $25-hr)/AEMT $30-hr/Paramedic $35-hr

you will play a crucial role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. You will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions, administering appropriate treatments, and transporting them safely to medical facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Duties
- Assess patients' conditions through physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
- Administer medications and injections as needed, ensuring proper dosage and technique.
- Perform airway management procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Provide basic life support (BLS) in critical situations, including CPR and defibrillation.
- Triage patients effectively to prioritize care based on the severity of their conditions.
- Assist with heavy lifting of patients and equipment during transport and treatment.
- Utilize Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as necessary for patient care.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and other emergency responders to ensure seamless patient handoff and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments administered, and any changes in condition.
- Work in emergent and non-emergent environments
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or training in the following areas:
- Hospital settings or emergency response environments.
- Medication administration techniques, including injections.
- Critical care scenarios requiring quick decision-making and action.
- Physical examinations to evaluate patient health status.
- Strong understanding of triage protocols in emergency situations.
