Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 The Franciscan Manager of Food and Nutrition Services plans, directs, and coordinates activities for the Food and Nutrition Department, and may specialize in a specific area(s) ensuring economic and efficient service. This position implements business practices and department standards, to uphold the company mission and values. The Manager ensures the department is meeting safety and infection control requirements of state and federal agencies. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Assist in developing and planning menus and meals services for all areas of responsibility including, but not limited to, Meals on Wheels, Daycares, and co-ops, as required. Act for Director in his/her absence and debriefs Director. Assist with the development and management of departmental budgets, including making budget allocations, approving expenditures and ensuring expenses are within budget. Assist in orientations and training of new employees. Serve as the administrator for the diet office software responsible for maintaining functionality of the program and the nutrition care portion, and other technologies used by the department, as required.
