Position Summary
The Grading Laborer supports grading and earthwork crews by assisting with site preparation, utility installation, erosion control, drainage work, grade checking, and general construction activities. This position requires a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist grading crews with site preparation and earthmoving operations.
- Perform hand grading, shovel work, and cleanup activities.
- Install and maintain erosion control measures.
- Assist with drainage and utility installation projects.
- Set up and maintain construction work zones.
- Help direct equipment operators during excavation and grading activities.
- Load, unload, and organize construction materials and tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and foremen.
Required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow directions.
- Valid driver's license required with a good driving history.
- Previous construction, grading, utility, landscaping, or heavy equipment experience.
- Experience working around heavy construction equipment.
- Knowledge of construction tools and materials.
- OSHA 10 certification or other safety training.
