What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drywall Estimator position at C & C Drywall, inc?
We are looking for a dual-role Estimator and Project Manager to take ownership of our construction projects from initial bid to final completion. You will handle precise cost estimation, contract negotiation, and on-site project management.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating: Prepare accurate project estimates exclusively using OnScreen Takeoff and Quickbid.
Project Management: Manage all phases of construction to ensure projects stay on schedule, on budget, and up to quality standards.
Negotiation & Purchasing: Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Financial Control: Manage budgets, track project costs, and process change orders to maximize profitability.
Site Operations: Coordinate with site teams to monitor daily progress, resolve issues, and ensure safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
Mandatory Software: You must have OnScreen Takeoff and Quickbid software to be considered for this role. (BuzzBid experience is a plus).
Experience: Proven background in both construction estimating, production rates and project management.
Skills: Strong contract negotiation, cost control, and field-level construction knowledge.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (Preferred, but hands-on experience weighs heavily).
