Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and traffic laws.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Load, unload, and secure merchandise using safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques.
- Communicate clearly with customers to confirm delivery details and answer questions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or route driving preferred; military driving experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
