Delivery Driver

Immediate opening for FedEx Delivery Drivers in the Waukee, West Des Moines, and Des Moines areas! You will begin and end your shift at our terminal in Grimes, IA. Previous experience at Amazon, UPS, FedEx, or DHL is a plus but training is provided!

FEDEX TERMINAL LOCATION: 2900 SW Brookside Dr Grimes, IA

SCHEDULE: May vary based on company needs. Being available on weekends is required.

SHIFT: 8am through delivery completion (typically somewhere between 4pm-6pm).

• Full time: 5 day work week starting at 8am
• Part time: Morning shift available starting at 8am

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• CDL not required
• Handling and maneuvering up to 150lb boxes (with and without hand trucks or dollies)
• The vehicle we provide could be one of the following: larger step van trucks (P1000, P1100 and P1200).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record without excessive speeding tickets, reckless driving etc.
• Consent to a state/federal and MVR and background check.
• No DUI/OWI's in past 7 years
• No misdemeanor or felony convictions (Including Pending Charges)
• No theft or violence convictions (Including Pending Charges)
• Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid drivers license.
• Consent to a drug test and DOT Physical exam (paid for by employer) and random screening throughout employment.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good operating/cosmetic condition.
• Follow all FedEx and DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
• Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is a plus
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic

Note: This position may require working in various weather conditions and may involve long hours of driving.

Pay: $20.00 per hour / $800 per week
