About the Role
BY Recruiting is partnering with an established, growing company in the Sioux Falls area to hire an HR Generalist. This is a hands-on role with broad ownership of the HR function, ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and working closely with leadership. You will support the full employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding through payroll, benefits, safety, and compliance.
What You Will Do
- Manage recruiting from start to finish, including job postings, interviews, hiring decisions, and offers
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding, plus ongoing HR training
- Handle employee relations with discretion, including performance, policy, and employee concerns
- Administer benefits, bonus, and rewards programs and communicate details to employees
- Oversee performance reviews, corrective action plans, and documentation
- Process bi-weekly payroll, conduct wage reviews, and support related reporting and audits
- Manage the offboarding process, including paperwork and exit interviews
- Investigate and report workers' comp, safety, and OSHA matters
- Maintain the HRIS, employee files, and employee handbook
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
What We Are Looking For
- 2 years of HR experience (a 2-year degree in HR or a related field is preferred)
- Solid understanding of HR concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong judgment, discretion, and integrity
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; HRIS and payroll experience a plus

- Location: Sioux Falls, SD (on-site)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
- Salary: $65,000 to $80,000
- Environment: mostly office based, with some time on the floor
