ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Jewelry Merchandising Specialist will play a key role in driving the commercial performance and strategic development of the North American jewelry business. This role combines strong analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of product, client behavior, and market dynamics to optimize assortment, inventory, and sales performance across both retail and e-commerce channels. The ideal candidate will take ownership of key business KPIs and act as a cross-functional partner to ensure alignment and execution excellence. They will work cross functionally with local teams, Merchandising, Customer Service, Inventory Control and Operations, and Wholesale to facilitate movements to support a growing area of the business. This role requires demonstration of professional judgment, communicating effectively across all levels of management throughout various departments with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
PERFORMANCE & REPORTING
- Weekly analysis/reporting highlighting the jewelry business for North America Retail network
- Monthly, Quarterly, Annual, Assortment Revision
- Ad-hoc business reviews as needed
- Qualitative and quantitative competition & report on the overall jewelry market
- Translate data into actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Share valuable information about coverage rates for key products to Manager and VP of Merchandising
- E-Commerce Merchandising Partnership – With Merchandising Manager, develop and execute strategies and plans to manage and oversee the E-com assortment and communicate opportunities through tools like Notify Me
PRODUCT MOVEMENTS
- Monitor inventory in Travel Kit and rebalance weekly to DOS Network
- Rebalance non TSL products across the network to support the sales trend
- Execute ad-hoc rebalances for events with Manager guidance
- Discontinued Product Cleanup (Quarterly)
WHOLESALE
- Manage DOS Spot Orders and inventory tracker
- Liaise with Central Merchandising for S5/S6 requests that require approval
- Assist with product management for BP events throughout the year and track sales to create in depth reporting
FILE AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT
- Create and manage line sheets and other useful documents that clearly share the full active assortment and all pertinent information to be shared with key stakeholders
- Utilize Excel and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to analyze data, build dashboards, and drive insights
- Create and distribute Newsletters introducing novelty products to the DOS & BP markets
- Create & update Merchandising Calendar with Novelty launch dates and product information
- With Manager, create and manage Informational and Process and Procedure files to be shared with key stakeholders
- Special Orders, Transfer Policy, Sizing, Classifications, etc.
- Become an expert in active core products to be able to answer questions from retail and BP networks
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS
- Executing special projects and reporting assigned by VP of Merchandising and manager as needed to support the development of the North American jewelry business
- Full calendar awareness of all special events related to both DOS & BP activations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 years of merchandising experience
- High Level Excel Skills & IT Applications (SAP, BW, and Power BI)
- Strong retail math skills
- Luxury industry experience, demonstrated understanding of high-end retail
- Able to accurately analyze historical data and forecast emerging trends
- Strong sense of accountability, self-drive, and the ability to function independently
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy being innovative and resourceful
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Effective at time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with timeliness and acute attention to detail
- Highly organized and possess proven critical thinking skills
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
