Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of defined category strategies, with input into overall strategy direction.
- Execute New Product Development (NPD) sourcing activities as directed, following established processes, liaising with the Sourcing and/or the External Manufacturing team.
- Support cost models, quotations, and comparisons.
- Manage assigned supplier relationships at a tactical, day‑to‑day level.
- Support supplier negotiations led by senior sourcing leaders; may prepare negotiation materials, draft commercial terms, or run RFPs within a defined framework.
- Research material and supplier options as directed.
- Track spend versus budgets.
- Participate in cross‑functional project teams (Operations, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain).
- Ensure compliance with internal sourcing policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Minimal travel expected (10–15%), primarily domestic.
- 4–6 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Limited category‑management ownership; experience supporting categories, supplier management or New Product Development (NPD).
- Working knowledge of one primary category (e.g., plastics, packaging, kit components).
- High-level understanding of ISO 13485, ROHS, EU MDR and other Regulatory processes (e.g. 510(K)).
- Experience managing/working with suppliers on a global scale.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills within a team environment; ability to present at all levels of the organization.
- Superlative analytical skills including Excel, Microsoft BI.
- Assertiveness and the courage to operate in new areas of the business with limited direction. A willingness to try, fail, and try again.
- Knowledge of ERP Systems, IFS preferred but not mandatory.
