What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Specialist position at Buzz Impressions?
The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the success of the company’s hospitality services on-site and off-site through quality control of all packs, equipment testing / routine maintenance, inventory management, and facility maintenance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include · Picking and packing supplies into crates to support each hospitality service.
· Receive and stock deliveries of perishable items, equipment, and catering supplies.
· Supply deliveries & pick-ups
· Warehouse safety, inventory, organization and equipment management.
· Equipment maintenance, cleaning, and overseeing repairs.
· Facility maintenance and supply inventory
· Prepping food for shows
· At times, swap warehouse shifts to drive to deliver equipment to a tradeshow.
· Actively participates in department meetings.
· Supports 4-6 hospitality events each year. Each event is 3-5 days in duration.
Required Qualifications:
· Strong verbal communication skills
· Basic computer skills (typing, web browsing, etc.)
· Some weekends are required.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. with minimal support.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 3 years of experience in shipping / warehouse industry
· Hospitality background in hotels, convention centers, tradeshows, event management, hospitality or catering companies is a plus.
· Can work in a highly autonomous setting and is a self-starter.
