Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Middle-High School Principal to lead our rural community with strategic insight. This pivotal role involves fostering an engaging learning environment, overseeing academic excellence, and ensuring the holistic development of students.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to staff, students, and the wider school community to promote a positive and inclusive environment.
- Implement PLC and support RTI to meet educational standards that emphasizes student engagement.
- Align school-level leadership with district strategic plan, mission, and vision.
- Oversee high school budge and high school activity accounts, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support academic programs and extracurricular activities.
- Supervise teachers and high school classified staff (administrative and paraprofessionals), fostering professional development through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with educational policies, safety regulations, and accreditation standards while maintaining open communication with parents and guardians.
- Promote leadership at all levels by empowering staff members to take initiative and develop their skills.
- Attend and engage in all school academic and sporting events, conferences, and parent meetings.
- Oversee student discipline.
- Provide administrative support at IEP and 504 meetings.
- Monitor student progress through data analysis and classroom observations to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare monthly board reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience in education administration with a focus on middle-high school leadership roles.
- Strong background in curriculum development, classroom instruction, and student engagement strategies.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, budgeting, and managing school operations effectively.
- Extensive supervisory experience with a track record of leading diverse teams of educators and staff.

- Familiarity with education policies, accreditation processes, and compliance requirements.

- Adhere to The Code of Ethics of the Idaho Teaching Profession adopted by the Professional Standards Commission and the State Board of Education
- Represent the school district in a positive manner
- Know and follow school district policy and chain of command
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy
- Input data in a timely fashion
- Assume responsibility for his or her continuing professional enrollment in advanced courses, and by reading professional journals and other publications
Evaluation
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent in conformance with district policy and IDAPA 08.02.02.120.
A background check and check of previous employment will be completed prior to hire, per Idaho Code 33-130.
